FAQ ABOUT FULL RESTORATION
There are a lot of variables that go into restoring a motorcycle below are a few commonly asked questions when starting a restoration.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
There are a lot of factors that affect the cost of a restoration such as production numbers, the size of the motorcycle, parts availability, what finishes the bike has, etc. We can work with any starting core, because whether the bike is running and driving, or taken apart in boxes, everything will be dissembled and refinished to perfection. Pricing is on a case by case basis.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
Currently, our typical restoration will take 9 months to complete. Some single cylinders can be completed in less, while complex, rare models will take a bit longer.
CAN I SUPPLY MY OWN DONOR (CORE) MOTORCYCLE?
Please do! We prefer this. Let’s restore the motorcycle that you have some history with! If that cherished motorcycle has been sold long ago, let us know year, make, model, color and we will search one down for you.
WILL YOU RESTORE ANY MOTORCYCLE?
Just as our service work, we stick to the restoration of Japanese and European motorcycles. However, we are open to inquiries! We might just be interested in restoring your dream bike!
IF I DON'T CARE ABOUT CONCOURS QUALITY, CAN I HAVE IT RESTORED CHEAPER?
We have restored motorcycles to many different levels, every budget and situation are different. We will never sacrifice quality for the sake of price, so we will work with you to determine where the money is most well spent for your motorcycle.
HOW DO YOU BILL ON A JOB THAT TAKES 9 MONTHS?
Typical billing is ⅓ down after motorcycle is torn apart, ⅓ down when the sublet processes are starting to be finished and arriving back at the shop, and the final ⅓ down at completion of the project.
